SUMMER CAMPS

Practice Baseball & Softball, Play Baseball & Softball, Perfect Baseball & Softball
(Yes we love P's so we also throw in PIZZA)

Each day begins with an all-camp gathering and ends with an all-camp event. The rest of the day is divided into morning skills sessions and drills and afternoon baseball games separated by lunches served by our coaches. We play games every day in a coach-pitch framework designed for lots of hitting and fielding and "on-the-job" training. Lunch is on us. Just bring your glove and love of the game. Ages 5-14.

SAMPLE DAILY GAME PLAN

8am-9am
Campers are greeted by our coaches. Activities are organized. Ping Pong, Foose Ball, Indoor Basketball and Climbing wall are a few examples.

9am-9:30am
Campers are divided into teams according to age and baseball/softball experience. Each camp has anywhere from 6-8 teams. Teams play each other and compete in week long round robin style tournament structure.

9:30am-10am
Coaches lead their teams through conditioning drills, sprints and warm up throws and catches. Coaches introduce word of the day and skill of the day. These concepts are constantly modeled and reinforced.

10am-12pm
Players are divided into positions; pitchers, catchers and fielders. Position coaches work on specific skills and drills to help players.

12pm-1pm
P3 provides lunch each day. We serve up healthy choices of chicken salads, sandwiches, and wraps. We kick the week off with pizza and end with hot dogs. We also serve a healthy snack and ice cream sandwich at days end.

1pm-3:15pm
Let the games begin. Teams go head to head in spirited games. Coaches monitor play and make adjustments based on game developments and player skill levels.

3:15pm-3:30pm
Games end and campers gather to award the "dirty shirt" to players who gave great effort and other campers nominate teammates who were just really fun to play with that day.

3:30pm-5:00pm
Basketball, Ping Pong and MORE baseball/softball are just some of the activities available until camp ends.

5pm-6pm
Extra Inning Practice & Fun/additional charge for this service

LITTLE LEAGUE INSTRUCTION

P3 Coaches are available to provide expert instruction to volunteer coaches and help provide leagues with additional oversight and coaching to their players.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Coaches employed by Pier Park & Playground Association (P3) are available to arrange with you for private lessons for your child at times when they are not being paid by or under supervision of P3 and when there are no other programs in session at the facility.
